Volume Trim (Gold Faders) Controllable Via Eucon?
 

hi all
i'm on an S3 and i love that we now have access to Volume Trim in Pro Tools Studio.

Does anyone know if Volume Trim can be accessed via S3? Would be amazing to have it in Eucon...

Yes. As long as the automation mode for the particular track/tracks is in Trim then the surface will follow and the fader acts in trim. Same as it does in the GUI.

You cannot mode cycle to Trim on the S3 but Trim is an assignable Eucon command which you can assign to a soft key.

i can't seem to get this to work...def a user error. hoping you can point me in the right direction?

i have a track and i set the automation mode to touch + trim.
when i do that, a small "t" in a box appears on this track on my S3.

however, when i start writing with that fader, the automation i am writing still ends up on my volume automation line, not my volume trim. i've set the view in the edit window to view the volume trim automation, but that doesn't seem to change anything.

not sure what i have set wrong (S3, PT or both)...

ah! figured it out. i had "coalesce trim automation after every pass" checked in my preferences. changed to manual. now it functions as you described.
