CORRECTION: Adat Device doesnt playback audio during Recording or Playback
I posted another scenario before, but it was incorrect... i just upgraded from Pro Tools 8.0.3 to 8.0.4. I am using a Digi 002 with a Presonus Digimax going into it thru ADAT. I found out that I can plug a mic directly into my Digi 002 and everything works fine, but if i go thru the Presonus Digimax, I can see the signal on that particular track, but cant hear anything thru the same exact Main Outputs(Analog 1 and 2). However, i did change the output to a Bus(Bus 1 and 2), and made a bus track(Bus Input 1 and 2) and the Outputs of the Bus are the Mains(Analog 1 and 2), then i can hear the signal thats being sent. Weird huh...
I have changed the clock to ADAT in the session as well. Is there a new setting now that PT has added, in order for me to hear the inputs from the ADAT? Basically, its like my ADAT inputs cant be monitored directly from the Mains, where as, i must Bus them thru another track to hear them thru the mains. Also, i did check the I/O's and made sure that everything is still on default |

Can you post a screen shot of your I/O and Mix Windows?

Re: CORRECTION: Adat Device doesnt playback audio during Recording or Playback
I have a similar problem with 8.04 LE and Digi 003 console.
When I create a new audio track or a bus and record or assign audio to it, I can see that audio is there in the track's meter, but nothing gets through to the assigned output (standard: Analog 1-2). I have to re-assign the output (by choosing another output and changing back to the original output pair, or by simply re-choosing the original output pair), only then can the audio be heard. Sounds strange? |

yea, it does sound very similar to my issue... only mine is just happening with my ADAT inputs

Re: CORRECTION: Adat Device doesnt playback audio during Recording or Playback
Does re-assigning the output (instead of routing it to another bus like you described) also help on your end?

Re: CORRECTION: Adat Device doesnt playback audio during Recording or Playback
Did you press the record button on the audio track.:D

Re: CORRECTION: Adat Device doesnt playback audio during Recording or Playback
Next you'll ask if Pro Tools is started, right? :D
