PT12 subscription now also PT10 and 11?
 

Hi,

when I updated to PT 12 with one year update plan (from PT10/11) I lost my existing PT10/11 license on my Ilok.

This was not clearly (if at all) communicated but okay..

"The internet" tells me that Avid have now reversed this decision.

Some things that confuse me:

-In my account, under "products" there has always been PT11 as a product I own, although the license has disappeared from my Ilok.

-After reading on "the internet" that Avid has reversed their earlier decision I checked my account and saw that under my products>pro tools annual upgrade plan I now can download PT10,11 and 12, where as earlier I could only download the latest version of PT12.

However, my Ilok still only has PT12.

Is anyone less confused and can anyone tell me what's the deal by any chance?

If so, I would greatlu appreciate any information.

Are you on subscription, or did you buy the PT12 upgrade ($99 or $199)?

If you're on a subscription, then you only get 12. If you bought the upgrade or full version, then you can contact Avid to exchange your 12 license for a 10/11/12 bundle.

yes, sorry, using the word subscription was confusing.

It was the upgrade I bought, I contacted Avid through facebook and they're investigating, I hope to get my PT10 license back, would be very useful :)

Apparently it's some IT problem, they're sorting it out in the meanwhile they gave me a temporary PT10/11 license.

So all's good!

I'm still confused by the license scheme that seems to change all the time and with a lack of communication.

But anyway, I'm happy, great solution by Avid via Facebook :)
