Is this workable

Hi Pro Mixing Community,

If I used a Cisco SG300-28PP Gigabit PoE Managed Switch along with the Avid Control app could I run them directly from an Apple M1 Laptop.
Could I connect the Cisco via my iPhone or do I need a separate Wifi router I would also like to have EuControl connected to an Avid S3 and ProTools Ultimate.

Regards

The iphone needs to be on the same network as the Mac for Avid Control to connect. It doesn't have to be the same one as the S3/Dock though which can be connected through that switch to the Mac. Either you need A WiFi router as well or if there's a wired ethernet adapter for an iPhone?

To Eddie,

Just trying to work the following out

Network Adaptor Error

Multiple network adaptors on same subnet detected.

Multiple adaptors on the same subnet may cause random issues with EuControl and other applications. Disable all adaptors except one to avoid any networking problems.

Network adaptors found:

Belkin USB-C Lan

USB 10/100 LAN

Any ideas?

Both those network adapters are either connected to the same network or they both don't have a router. (only one can be without a router) or the IP address range is set the same for both.

The SG300 series can do layer 3 routing so you'd only need to add a wifi access point (Ubiquity or other) to make that work. That said, if you've never configured a Cisco managed switch you're looking at a pretty steep learning curve.
