Keeping the 96io SPDIF "open"??

I have a Digi 96io with a Fast track Pro running into it from another Computer into the spdif input.

Is there anyway to set up the 96io so it monitors this input all the time?

I keep having to go into PT or whatever program im using and arm a track with record to get the input??

Is there a way to keep this open? so i can always hear the spdif input regardless?

I'm sure my old MOTU 828mk2 used to be able to do this before i upgraded?

Thanks

hi Sean

How do you mean an Aux track with SPDIF?

Still learning PT so not up to scratch! Could you elaborate a little?

Also I use my 96io within Ableton and its the same there - (unless I do the Aux track as you describe?) but basically wanted the SPDIF input open in all programs that I use my 96io in...

Any help would be great.
