Little Mac OS nuggets that we love
I have a few little utilities that are so simple yet so useful to me that I thought I'd share. Please join in, and it could be small apps, utilities or just simple tips. And not necessarlily PT/audio related.
I'll start: Quitter Free menu item that lets you set an application to hide or quit after a set time of inactivity. Very useful to keep thing tidy and uncluttered. ClockDesk Free or $10, don't remember. Simply a custumizable clock for your desktop. Just what I needed when I finally got rid of my analog wall clock, with it's annoying clicks. PopClip Select any text anywhere, and a small selection of copy/paste/search/createsticky etc, pops up next to your curser. Very customizable. Couldn't live without it now. DaisyDisk $10 app that scans and sorts your data, and sorts folders by size, and makes it extremely easy to get an overview of what's taking up space. Pick up calls on your mac If you have an iPhone, it's pretty nice to be able to hear the person calling on my studio monitors and speak into my talkback mic. |

I love BetterTouchTool or BTT.

Amphetamine to easily control sleep behavior. And if you have any drives with aggressive firmware controlled sleep it can keep them awake. In the app store.
PlugInfo https://www.thinkersnacks.com/as-pluginfo.html Really quick scan of all your installed plugins. Identifies the type and architecture. Can export the info. Great app. |

Even though I don't really need it yet, I'm shure it will come in very handy, in the not too distant future. :o PlugInfo in the App Store at $2.99. I just bought it and opened it. Simple, unexiting interface, but who cares; instant overview of all my plugins, every format, this is genius! |
