FXPansion PT M-Powered 7.1 issue

I have been using the VST to RTAS adapter for a few months now. Some strange things are happening. I have loaded Waves Masters Collection and Antares Mic Modeler onto my computer and put them in the right directory C:program files/Steinberg/VST... anyway when I try and wrap them neither comes up in that directory or anywhere. I see them downloaded on my computer (the programs) but the wrapper cannot find them at all. I even changed the directory to "Digidesign" and it still won't.
Anybody know what is going on?

Thanks.
Eric

If you own Waves and Antares plug-ins, why not just install the RTAS versions?

That would be too easy....

Both versions I have are older versions I bought from a friend. Neither came with the RTAS option to download. I thought it was strange to. He is using Steinberg and I guess he bought them for that. He didn't need them anymore so I offered him $100.00 for each and he agreed. The waves Masters is version 3.6 and the only download option is VST. Same with Antares Mic Modeler. I assume both of these are older versions.

Could there be a compatibility issue and that's why my wrapper won't wrap these?

Thanks again.

I would think that's quite likely - 3.6 is extremely old and wrapped it would very likely cause no end of troubles in Pro Tools.

If Antares is as old, I would suspect the same for it as well.

If he transferred the authorizations to you, you should be able to get an update through Waves for the price of your WUP.
