Open Recent list is empty after restart
All,
I was having some issues with PT 2020 and I mistakenly ran one of those PT Prefs clearing programs a while back. Ever since then my "open recent projects" list defaults to two sessions on my computer after every restart and ignores what I have been recently working on. Strangely, both of those sessions are on my OS drive and not my live audio drive (one is on the desktop and one is in my downloads folder). After each restart that list is cleared and only those are left. I have reinstalled PT 2020 and the problem persists. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Its not a major problem, but is rather annoying. Thanks, Ryan www.RyanSchwabe.com |

Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
This is just a guess, but since you trashed preferences Perhaps you need to reset the storage location in the DashBoard dialog box (formally Quick Start dialog Box) You can reset this in the "Create" selection.
Check the "Location" at the bottom of window is actually pointing to where your sessions are supposed to be stored and not defaulted to Mac HD This may or may not effect the Recents but worth a try. |

Apple has never sold 18-core Mac Pro, you must mean 28-core if you mean the latest generation tower..? But that would be 2.5GHz not 3.2GHz, so if your CPU is 3.2GHz then it should be 16-core, assuming latest generation -- otherwise you have such a hack I have no idea. Or maybe iMac Pro? |
Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
Sorry, that was a typo, it is the 16 core.
Thanks, I will tried that resetting the default location, but it still resets after reboot. It seems like it cannot remember anything that is on that drive anymore. I know avid did away with HD database files, but maybe there is a hidden database file that is corrupted for that main drive? The main drive is a OWC Accelsior. |
Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
I see.
People have reported strange things with HD|native on current Mac Pro. Perhaps you could try another card slot? I know it sounds like sorcery but some have got their system working like that. |
Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
Maybe check if it’s anything to do with the OS recent files number?
