Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here
Got a new one up on my player by an old clients new band. Turned out better than I hoped for the fixes that needed to be done. "Ealastic Audio" is my new best friend. Achieved a very nice analog warmth with it too. Pretty happy overall.

Re: Mac Mixes!!!!!!!!
Here's my first stab at recording on Pro Tools. I'm 18 years old with no formal education on recording. I'll be attending IPR in minneapolis beginning this july.
http://www.myspace.com/timmckitterickrecording Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated. This is my old band. We recorded it about a month ago and have since broken up. Vocals are crude. We recorded with a Beta58 without any pop filter or mic stand. Drums had a beta57 on the snare, a beta58 on the kick and 2 [bleep] dynamic mics as stereo overheads. Tim |
Re: Mac Mixes!!!!!!!!
Not bad for a first time in my opinion. I do not hear a bass and it could use one in the left(lick playing gtr side) if you have one. The lyrics are a little hard to hear but Im sure its due to the mic. other then that good job.

Re: Mac Mixes!!!!!!!!
love all the stuff Im hearing here!
I'm still fairly new to this, only been using PT for about 6 months now. http://www.myspace.com/aminorcrisis This is my home project. I recorded a couple of covers for fun and some original rock instrumentals. |
Re: Mac Mixes!!!!!!!!
Wow, so much on here. I'm going through so many right now and will post feedback as I digest some of it. For my own contribution, I give you FourWayFree's album "Deeper." I was co-producer/engineer/mixer. We worked exclusively in Pro Tools.
Cheers! http://www.myspace.com/fourwayfree They're on iTunes if you like them. Brian |
Re: Overnight Lows
Thanks to everyone for the feedback! Sorry I haven't been here for awhile.
------ superpenguin79 - I agree with you, the intro is a little offputting being that long... personally I like that awkwardness, but I know it's not a great way to catch people's attention. Maybe a mix with a shorter, more attention-grabbing, intro is required, then maybe the full into mix on an album or something? Teolin - Thanks! That comment really made me smile. haha. IntelDoc - Thanks alot. Yeah I was listening to the first Skinny Puppy record quite a bit when I wrote that. Well picked! haha ------ Here is a remix I did of one of my newer tracks. Artistically, I like the original better, but I really dig some of the sounds in this mix and the overall harsh-clubby feel. I hope you guys will too! |
Re: Mac Mixes!!!!!!!!
First one i have done!
Any advice would be appreciated. www.myspace.com/recordingsgs please leave comments or messages suggesting on how to improve them. thanks |
Re: Mac Mixes!!!!!!!!
Hi DUC!
Here's a take I performed over backing tracks created in Pro Tools LE, Reason via Rewire and a MIDI controller. I also use Eleven on the guitar track. MIDI was recorded in Pro Tools LE. The interface I used was DIGI003. Used a combination of waves and 003 Factory plugins. http://youtube.com/watch?v=e8aCHB2CiZE |
Re: Overnight Lows
Hi,
I'm writing a soundtrack for a computer game a friend is making and this is a song I've written for it. I love to write music, but production is all very new to me and I've found it quite challenging. I'm sure there is probably a lot wrong with this, nevertheless I welcome your feedback and advice about how I can go about improving it. Also, if anyone has any general advice on how to learn this trade it would also be really appreciated. thanks a lot - thread |

Andrew......
Sunrise is pretty freakin' cool! I'll step aside from the helpful technological commentary and report that it is simply an enjoyable listen and a cool concept. I had it playing while I was browsing. I swear the "oo" in Google started winking at me.... |
