Re: Mbox Goodbye
What a drag.... I have had an PT Free, AMIII card, Digi 001, Digi 002 Rack, Mbox 1, Mbox 2 Micro and Mbox 2 Mini. The original Mbox is my favorite of them all, reliable, very portable paired with a 12" ibook, good sounding preamps if careful. Not as bulletproof stable as the AMIII and Digi 001 were, but as close as I can get to running PT LE on a rig that approaches the simplicity of a Portastudio.
Looks like I will be sticking with 8.0.1 for a long time. That Mbox Mini was nothing but heartache and random static for me, gave it away for free, felt like fleecing someone to charge for something that I could never personally get to work on a consistent basis. bilco |
Re: Mbox Goodbye
I had one and traded it up my 002 and I was much happier with the 002. I traded MATTP for his old MBox so that I could set up a VERY technically challenged friend with something like 5.3.
Still its sad to see something go EOL |
Re: Mbox Goodbye
Oh great..... 8.0.1 will be the last version that will work with my Digi 002 Rack as well since I am running it on a Mac PowerPC......
Thanks for obsoleting my favorite LE interface AND my favorite computer to work on at the same time Digi!!! I am so done blowing $ on gear; I won't be chasing the carrot for PT LE 8.0.2 and beyond or upgrading to the interfaces that will support the newer software. Enough is enough. bilco |
Re: Mbox Goodbye
They will release next PTLE major version with supporting RME interfaces :D
