Artist Control faders lagging on specific user
 

Multiple artist control units in our studio experience lag on the fader controls, but only for a specific user (duplicated on multiple machines). This does not occur on other users on the same machines with the same artist control units.

For clarity, when I say fader lag, I mean that the faders move to the touch, but the changing value is not reflected in the Pro Tools session or even on the artist control screen. When the fader is released, the value immediately jumps to reflect the fader position. It does not matter which Pro Tools track is selected. Again this does not occur on other users on the same computer using the same artist control; the faders move and the values smoothly and continually reflect the fader position. All users use the same mounted drive for their Pro Tools preferences and settings folders.

I've dug through the Pro Tools and EuControl settings and prefs, but can't find anything that corrects this issue.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any ideas what setting this user has that's creating the issue?

Can you try grounding this user. (get them to hold something with one hand that's grounded (rack frame etc.) This would happen if the unit doesn't sense a touch. See if it then works.
