Bug Returns in 2022.7: Misaligned meters on VCA's are back
1 Attachment(s)
I already lived with this bug for 6 months! (see attachment) It had it's glory days already. Unfortunately it's back in 2022.7.1. At least on Big Sur 11.6.
Just another reason to go back to 2022.5. |

I'm confused as to how this can ever happen. I'm not a programmer.
So, question for those among us with programming knowledge, does this essentially mean that Avid is not properly keeping track of code threads ? I imagine that some programmer is given the task of fixing a bug related to a specific build of Pro Tools, meanwhile other bugs get fixed by other people and the version is incremented, then the first guy finally submits his fix - and the code from his fix is incorporated into the latest build, but they also manage to import older code that did not have the other latest fixes and those newer fixes get overwritten once again with the old code. Is that how this kind of collossal F/U works ? Surely somebody has the job of keeping track of this kinda thing ? Or is this precisely why we all keep paying $400 a year to get "updates" ? |
