Mbox 2 Mini + Pro Tools 7 Sound problem
 

Hi,
When i try to record using amplitube2 and my guitar connected to the mbox, aswell as headphones connected to mbox, i get no sound when i press play. As i record, i see the soundwaves and i can hear my guitar. But when i try to play my recorded song, theres no sound at all.
Amplitube works fine, so does anyone know what the problem is?

same thing here I tried browsing the forum to no avail.

Specs:
Windows XP Home edition service pack 2
HP Pavilion
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+
512MB RAM

I even have an external hard drive for it.

The only thing I can see wrong is that I only have 512MB of RAM, the box says I need 768MBs but the site says I only need 512. Help!

Sounds like you are in "Input Only" monitoring mode.

Press alt + k.

alt + k is the keyboard shortcut for toggling the monitoring mode.

If alt + k doesn't work for you check the "Track" menu to ensure that "Input Only Monitoring" is turned off.

Can you please detail the steps you are using, and what you are trying to achieve? Be as specific as you can. It's hard to tell you what you might be doing wrong, or make any suggestions and or recommendations without knowing the steps to repeat the problem.

When I start up pro tools, I open a new track and record onto it by clicking both the buttons and the play button. Then I record, I can see all of the sound waves as I go along. When I stop and try to play back what I just recorded. The bar moves along the lines but no sound comes out of my headphones.

That's not quite as detailed as I meant.

Let me start with a few other basic questions:

1. Where are your headphones plugged in?
2. Are you able to hear anything from the mbox? For instance, are you able to play and hear the demo session that is included with the software?
3. to what position is the mix knob set?
