Neyrinck V-Control Pro now support D-Commnad with PT Studio
 

Apparently V-Control Pro has added functionality for D-Command with Pro Tools Studio. Haven't tried it, just saw it posted today. I know some people were looking to go to Studio but still wanted to used the D-Command.

umm, yes this is really nice, but I am afraid that the implemented functionality to-date is only a VERY limited subset of what the D-Command can actually provide with Pro Tools Ultimate (Flex).

It is not identical to Pro Tools Ultimate, but it does a lot of the basic stuff you need for pro, automated mixing. Here is a feature chart for Pro Tools Studio with D-Command.

A couple things V-Control Pro does that's pretty slick are:

MIDI Mode - custom MIDI mapping
V-Window Mode - the fastest way to automate a plugin control

At the end of the day, it's still HUI though, half the fader resolution, only 4 knobs at a time, only 32 tracks at a time, not all controls/buttons. None of the Spill or Layout/Custom Stuff.

At the end of the day, any level of D-Command support in Pro Tools Studio is better than what Avid have given us. Or in any HUI compatible DAW for that matter.

True dat! Would have been a nice little thanks for people who've paid the big bucks for years to have enabled Icons on Studio..instead all the prizes went to the Vanilla subs.
