002R Driver missing after 8.0.5 update...
 

After updating from 8.0.3cs2 to 8.0.5 I get "Unable to locate digidesign hardware...." and in "device manager" digi 002 shows a yellow "?" as if there is no valid driver installed.

FW cable is connected properly and reinstalling the update (i'v tryed that with the 002R ON and OFF)or trying to update the driver alone (i get error code 10) did not work.

Any suggestions ?

i have reverted back to 8.0.3cs2 but i want to update.

Is there a way to install the new drivers not as part of the 8.0.5 update ?

Try downloading the latest 002 drivers from the Driver Updates page:
www.avid.com/drivers

Pro Tools Firewire Device Drivers

* 002 and 003 Family Drivers Windows drivers updated March 9, 2011

Those are for Pro Tools 8.0.5 as well as Pro Tools 9, although the 8.0.5 update should have updated them.
