How much is it worth ?
I bought Pro Tools 9 many years ago and struggled to get on with it, I always used my Eleven rack and Tascam DP32 instead.
I still have the installation discs x3 and the box and all paper work. Plus the Ilok dongle and since I was second owner i remember vaguely I had to buy an iLok dongle 2 ..not sure why? So having a clear out and just wondered how much it is worth? I believe you can swap licences over online now? |
Re: How much is it worth ?
Hi, welcome to the community.
I'm afraid you need to have active "support and update plan" to be able to sell your license and transfer the ownership to the buyer. New license is roughly 600 and "reinstatement" (of lapsed support and update plan) is roughly 300. Avid stopped selling reinstatements last year so you need to find a reseller that can sell you such plan. |
Re: How much is it worth ?
Hi so you are saying its worth nothing?
I bought it second hand when i bought it and if i can remember the previous owner transferred the license over from his iLok manager account to my iLOk account? It seemed easy to do then? |
Re: How much is it worth ?
Things have changed since PT9

Re: How much is it worth ?
Just trying to read up on it?
So what would happen if someone put the installation discs into a pc and then stuck the iLok into the USB ? |
Re: How much is it worth ?
If you just gave your ilok to the buyer it would work just the same way as before. But the buyer would not be able to upgrade

thanks |
Re: How much is it worth ?
Do people sell them as i wanted too? If i put it on ebay with the iLok etc How much would i get ?

Re: How much is it worth ?
Today you need to have active "support and upgrade plan" to get upgrades. And as your plan is lapsed you need to reinstate it first
