Interface around $200

I am in currently looking at a few interfaces to replace my mbox2.

Tascam us-1800
Tascam us-2000
Focusrite Scarlet 18i6
Alesis Multimix 8 usb 2.0

Has anyone used any of these interfaces for PT 9 on windows and if there are any problems?

I am leaning towards the Focusrite and Tascam us-2000

Thanks in advance for any advice

Erik

Sorry but the price was supposed to be $300-$400 not 200

I'd go with the focusrite, the pre amps are nice and it's says "works with pt9" right on the box. The others work fine I'm sure too but the focusrite definitely will have up to date smooth drivers.

Just my opinion.

In the $300-$400 price range, you might look at the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP. I bought one for my son to use with PT9 on his MacBook Pro and it works really well. Lots of i/o options.

The Scarlett line seems to be USB while the Saffire is firewire.

Good luck!

Re: Interface around $200

Not sure if you made your purchase yet but I have the Tascam US-1800 and I must say that I love the fact Its affordable and can do everything that My M Audio Fast Track Ultra can do plus more ... however, keep in mind the pre amps are not as hot as M Audio Octane or some of the others ... acceptable for sure but not HOT as Hell.

Drivers are up to date and as with everything, a change takes some getting use too. I was in a jam and had to record drums ... with at least seven mics and couldn't do it with my original interface. So I invested 300 buck in this one and I am happy as a clam.
