Re: Protools 8 10 Day Demo Idea????
Well... I hope I am not having too much faith in this update. I have decided to go for it even though it is going to require me to move to Leapard too. So I am really crossing my fingers that it will all work.
However, I have to say that I also agree that there should be software license returns before the first 30 days or so. Nothing is more frustrating then purchasing something that only messes up your system. |
Re: Protools 8 10 Day Demo Idea????
thats why I use 2 systems ...
one is the stable one ... and the other is for experimenting ... and when I see that the experimental system works fine ... I use just it ... yes it takes some time to set 2 systems ... but is worth it ... :) |

While its a good idea the download is in the area of 4GB which actually gets expensive when you paying for the bandwidth. |
Re: Protools 8 10 Day Demo Idea????
i totally agree... for compatibility purposes, I think it's unreasonable to ask someone to spend all the money on the upgrade only to find out it has severe conflicts. You've got to be able to beta test in one's own environment. After all, this is, for many of us, our source of income and if PT isn't acting right, I don't get paid... and playing with my money is like playing my emotions... you just don't do it. :(

Re: Protools 8 10 Day Demo Idea????
thanks for the link digi but, i talking more about dishing out the $250.00 at this time of the year when money may be tight only to find out the software does not work. i see 8 is out now so i guess it is too late for the demo idea.
just to restate, this past year i was basically fed up with buying software that never works properly and at times ruins you stable system. i understand backing up to go back to your last stable state. nothing is worse than paying for an upgrade to have it not work, sitting uninstalled while you just shelled out your hard earned cash. having to wait months for it to work correctly. we all say to ourselves i should have waited till everything got sorted out before making my hasty purchase. hope you can understand this as being genuine and not an attack on anyone . best sucess with 8 digi |

To bad that I am anytime on the side wher nothing works how it should, at least when it comes to software, and as more pro they get, as more bad the work. |
