cursor return to start position
I cannot remember how to make cursor return to start position after playback and would greatly appreciate any help here. Every so often I accidentally hit a key combo and this happens, but it's been awhile. It was something like ctrl-m that used to reset this function. I need the cursor to return to the start position it was in when I started playback (so I don't have to constantly move the cursor back when I am working a section for a long time). Can't seem to find it in the manual or the shortcut list. Thanks a bunch

Re: cursor return to start position
Just wanted to append this information to PT 12.
Options Drop Down Menu -> Insertion Follows Playback Uncheck to return, after playback, to where you started. |
Re: cursor return to start position
With keyboard focus enabled, the N key toggles this and its really easy accidentally hit that when controlling transport with the spacebar:o

Re: cursor return to start position
Also, directly under the tools, you can click the second from the right on 12 up. lower versions (before layered editing), it would be the far right one.
I put an arrow to it. If you use keyboard focus N, you can see it switch on/off. Looking at the icon is an easy way to check what mode you are in too. https://i.imgur.com/3pyVcb5.png |
