Question about making an external hard drive

hi, I just bought a laptop that now needs an external firewire drive. I was wondering if there would be a problem with just buying an enclosure (with FW) and putting either my 75GB Raptor or my 120GB Fujitsu into it. Any Ideas?

As long as the drive case has the Oxford chipset, it should work fine. I have a NexsTar case and have used a few drives in it with good performance.
