Any way to download the latest Avid HD Native driver without upgrading?
 

I purchased a perpetual license for Pro Tools 12 in 2016. The latest HD Native drivers I'm allowed to download are version 12.7 which seems to be from 2016. I'd like to use my HD Native (thunderbolt) and Avid I/O on macOS Catalina and Logic Pro, but the interface keeps disconnecting randomly and I fear that it's because Avid won't give me the latest drivers to work properly with Catalina.

According to the compatibility info, Catalina is not compatible with PT12 HD. It looks like you need a very recent version of PT HD or Ultimate software, and since that would be newer than 12.6, you will need a Digilink license too.

like the OP, i have a PTHD 12 perpetual license. i can run it on an older rig, but i would like to install the drivers on a newer laptop (running Catalina) and use PT HD Native TB box and Avid converters for CoreAudio.

my Master Account only allows for d/load of v12.8, which is not compatible w/ Catalina.

does avid allow me to access HD drivers that are "beyond" my most recent version of PT? or is this their way of "enticing" me to pay for a PT subscription?

Avid Download Center. It’s the last option on the main page of your my.avid.com account in the top left block.

Then look for HDX drivers (which are the same installer) and pick which version you want.
