Behringer BCF-2000 Question

Hello Everyone,

I"m looking for an inexpensive set of faders for my home LE rig, and the Behringer (GASP!) BCF-2000 has come to my attention. For a sub $200 controller, it appears to have many positive features.

I have read lots of positives about it, but have 2 questions:

Are the faders 10 bit resolution (1028 steps) and does ProTools recognize this?

Using the Baby Hui protocol as it does, is it possible to have the LED's on the circular encoders map to the channel level meters, ala the Digi 002?

Thanks!

Re: Behringer BCF-2000 Question

sorry i cant answer your specific questions, but having used this in my setup, my observations are below. could save you some time. i am pretty sure that you cannot use the led's as a meter. i found no info on this in my research.

this unit works fine with protools in baby hui mode. you will need the latest software v1.10 to run baby hui. you can only update the firmware with a pc. the utility is not avaliable for mac. the only complaint i have is, the faders are noisy when the motor kicks on... but for the price.
