master PT audio file directory?

Hey. I'm about a month into PT 7.1.1 (I'm aware of all the compatibility issues with Snow Leopard). I've had to delete then re-install the program, and I've got a few different ambient sessions going. I'm pulling audio from one region list to another, and from various folders into sessions, and I'm not entirely clear on what's being duplicated, where it's all going, etc. I'd love to just consolidate all my .ptf and .wav files into one directory, but can't seem to find an option that lets me do that; nothing in the Preferences looks like it's helpful. Any ideas?

But that aside... there is no "master" audio folder in Pro Tools. Each session has its own audio folder. But you have to be careful when just dragging around audio. When you just drag audio into a session, the file may not be going anywhere and could be staying in it's original location. However, most of the time audio files end up in the session's personal audio folder, which is located in the same directory as the session file itself.
