Audio Driver Problem on HP Laptop with Pro Tools 9

The next thing is giving me problems in PT9 on my laptop

After installing the crossover from PT8 to PT9 I could not change the H/W buffersize of mine Realtek IDT High Definition Audio Codec (protools was crashing because I could not change this). After that I installed the latest Asio 4 all drivers and now Pro tools knows the ASIO Driver (in the playback engine) but it isn't possible to select the ASIO as an output on your tracks (it still remains as the normal output)

Now there is no sound at all while I see the VU-meters are working.

Does some one has any idea what this could be or having the same problems/solution?

Ok after installing the Asio 4 All Driver again Pro Tools is now not clipping and crashing anymore.

The only thing is that I only can listen true a headphone and not by the speakers of the laptop(not that I would prefer this but it should be working also I think)

I'll keep you posting!

Re: Audio Driver Problem on HP Laptop with Pro Tools 9

still problems:confused: but I have sound on my headphone. Now if I want to change something in the ASIO driver or clicking on it Pro Tools is crashing!

The only thing I can do is launch Pro Tools and work in it for how long it takes. The thing is also that the ASIO driver only works when PT is launched.

Also when I change for example the H/W in PT there isn't any sound comping out of my output:confused:

don't no where to seek for the problem (maybe in ProTools maybe in Asio Driver or inside the original driver of the HP Laptop)

I have found the main Issue. It was my HP pavillion and sold it. Next month going further on a Mac Book pro and hope that this one will take it:D
