Recording fader movements

So I finally took the time to set-up my Yamaha 01v96 as a controller. It is set up fine and I can control the faders from the 01v96 much like you would with an 002.

I don't seem to be able to get PT to record the fader movements either on Midi Tracks or audio tracks.

How would you record only the fader movement on a record enabled track that had audio on it already? On midi tracks it is easy, as you just overlay the info, but on an audio track it wants to record over the exsisting audio.

I did search in the manual for about 40 minutes.... : (

Re: Recording fader movements

Enable Auto Write. (Not need to be in record mode). Play & make you moves. Swich back to Auto Read. Make sure Volume or what ever is on in Automation Enable.

Hopes this helps
