New Site Design - Much Better!

Hey Digi! Nice work from the web department for finally fixing that horrid navigation and layout they implemented a year or so ago. Digidesign.com is finally looking halfway decent!

I agree. I loathed going to the previous site since it took so many clicks/pages to get to the point.

I walked in the new site as if I was a noob, and it's layed out pretty well. Then I went through the support section as if I was looking for info/help, and got what I needed with minimum of clicks.

I also didn't end up with 5 or 6 new tabs for all the pages.

Nice.

Now all we need is faster servers for the DUC.

The website circa 2005 was really easy to use and the latest update is a step in that direction.

Faster servers and a better search engine!

But nice update Digi!

I agree, it's still not as good as the "Old" Digi site - part of that one even still lives at archive.digidesign.com and the DUC still uses the stylesheet I think. The one between then and now was just horrid though (with the slanty navigation), this new one is definitely a step in the right direction. I really thought they were going for the "Worst Professionally Designed Website" title for a few years there.

Now if we could just get them to stop making AIR VIs and instead actually get RTAS working up to snuff, oh, and maybe fix all the other outstanding bugs from PTLE 7.4, then we'd really be in business!

Hey I just bought the box set could we settle for streamlining RTAS, getting 7.4 stable as say 5.3 and fixing all of the AIR issues. Before we releae 7.5 or any new AIR VI's

I didn't want to be the one to say it but the last Web design Well, stunk! The new site with its simpler menu of choices looks like a winner. Hopefully it will go a long way towards helping any newbies find solutions...Thus saving a bunch of posts by newbies with LE and Mpowered in the TDM forums Gotta have the flagship at the top of the forum

FYI, this thread over on the TDM/HD forum is worth a read. Some nice communication from Digi (towards the end) about attempted future improvements to RTAS performance.

Nice thing is that with the advent of the Micro suddenly we have some of the TDM guys asking for the same things we've been asking for. I DO think Digi has been trying to communicate a bit more and thats a good thing.
