Hello,

I put together a tune that I could not get out of my head tonight. I hope you enjoy, it is very simple and I apologize for not having a volume pedal, I had to do it by hand.

Thank you for listening !!!

Gene,
Really nice... very cerebral piece. Nice chord changes. Good job.

Ok here's some thoughts on what you buggers have been working on!
Nice work kids! Any girls in here? Too many boys!!

Kitana One - Right on with the Psy-Trance vibe. Love the use of samples.
I wish it would build up a bit more. Full-on as they as. But the breakbeats are real cool.
Good work!

Tito & the Pactastics - Wow...this is real clever. I grew up with Pac-Mac. Interestingly enough,
those video games are some of the first electronic music that I was aware of. So this is perfect.
I like the way the beat keeps shifting. This is something I need to work on in my music.

Gene in the Forest - Beautiful. Sounds great echoing through my university cubicle workstation.
Just lovely. Harmonic movement too. Very nice shifts.

Benjaminbarry/Round & Round - This is a cool song with that 80's synthpop vibe.
(Pet Shop Boys, New Order, etc.) You have a cool voice. I want it to stand out more.
The EQ/Compression sounds dull. Also...some vocal harmonies here would make this come alive.
I really like the keyboard textures a lot. Also the lead guitar counterpoint is very cool.
Turn down the cymbal crashes. They stand out a bit too much. This sounds like a work in
progress to me but I really like all the musical components and ideas very much.

Wow...we've got a diverse bunch here!

Keep 'em coming and I hope to post some new ones of mine soon.

Happy and inspired New Year to all!

Roy, toddamo

Thank you for your kind words. Fortunately the volume knob on my guitar was close enough for me to strum the chord changes and control the volume without too much fumbling around.

Thank you again for listening !!!

Take Care,
Gene

hey toddamo,
thanks for the kind words and the critisism too. I will remember those tips about the compression/EQ and turning the voice up. I usually like to move on when im "finished" with a song and try my new knowledge out on something new so when I finish that I'll post. the comments about sounding like "pet shop boys" also struck me because I listen to a lot of that kind of stuff (like a-ha) along with newer stuff like Coldplay and Train and whatnot.
thanks again.

Hi,

Here are my first efforts with Pro Tools - none of my own music (I'm just getting into that), but lots and lots of samples you may recognise. Drop me a line with your good or bad comments.

WHAT I DID ON MY WINTER VACATION BY TODD AMODEO

Hey everybody!

I had fun doing music during some recent time off.

Here are two tracks that I worked on...

http://pages.stern.nyu.edu/~tamodeo/...rtheclouds.mp3

http://bartlebymusic.com/hashleichpage.html

The first one is a track of mine called UNDER THE CLOUDS .
Its a little piano ballad with some build ups and quiet parts too.

The second one is with my Orthodox Jewish friend and its sung in ancient Hebrew.
She informed me last night that the lyrics are about 3000 years old!
Its very orchestral and one of the melodies has a little nod to Pachabel's Canon in D.

Both tracks have some aquatic subtext.

Equipment used: Roland XP-30 Keyboard, Rhode NTK mic, Lexicon MPX-100 reverb, Squire Jazz Bass,
1st track Drums by Multiloops, 2nd track Drums by my old Boss DR-660, T-tracks (mastering).

Thanks for listening!

www.globetraxters.com collaboration project - "Angelina"

http://dj3plet.dynu.com/globetraxter...LINA_FINAL.mp3

i played bass, arranged the drums (loops), handled the vinyl and touch of synth, and sang. Special thanks to Roy Howell for his smoother-than-smooth touch on the guitars.

Globetraxters players were Capptain on guitar, HammondX on the B3 and trombones. Moohead wrote the lyrics. thanks, guys!

Re: Mac Mixes!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone,

http://www.digitallandfill.co.uk/loophole/mp3/

Thought I'd send a link to my track that is featured on radiohead.com
The track is entitled "primal electronik." I used Protools 5.2.1, Digi001+G4, Reason 2.0, and a Nord Lead II for the bulk of the recording and sequencing
Thanks for listening!
