Another new Digidesign plug-in, This one's not free. Wonder if it's as good as Serato Pitch 'n Time which has been my go to for years.

Have been using Serato's Pitch 'n Time for the better part of two years now and I'm very happy with it. Seems to me Digidesign are aiming for people that do not yet have any sort of pitch-correcting plug-ins yet. The guys at Digidesign sure know their marketing

They licensed algorithms from iZotope. Did AVID buy a stake in iZotope? From the description, it seems that they are using an FFT with a large number of windows as part of their process.

I remember reading that the iZotope Radius algorithm tested far and away sonically superior to anything currently available. I hope this plug-in lives up to that hype. I've been enjoying the formant corrected static pitch shifting with the (operationally similar) free Time Shift plug-in. So if this sounds great and works as easily as Time Shift, it will be a must have. I am wondering if this plug-in will become the engine that drives a future version of ProTools with elastic audio.

Is this true about the licensing? I demoed Radius and found it to be generally superior to PnT. I would consider buying it in that case, for sure.
