EQ turns off Left, Right and Centre Channel on Dadman

1 Attachment(s)
When I turn on the EQ in Dadman it turns the Left, Right and Centre channels off.

The dark blue dot turns to light blue and no signal is passed through.

Turning off the EQ reverts back to normal.

I've included a Screenshot for clarity.

Any ideas why it is doing this?

Also, adding a delay to each individual output, turns it off.

I'm running OSX 10.15.7, Dadman V5.6.5.1 and Firmware 1.1.1.5

You appear to have multiple outputs and only one source. Do you have separate monitoring systems in your room? (2.1,5.1, atmos etc)

Yes thats right. This was suggested by Jeff Komar.

And works well as a a solution.

But my question is, why do the channels get muted when I apply the EQ.

Is the MTRX Device clock (Conf > Sync >) at a different sample rate than your Atmos source Input?

Also, it only makes sense to send that 7.1.4 Atmos source to a 7.1.4 Output set. You would never send that to multiple outputs of different widths. The better solution would be to have Sources:

Atmos Renderer Speaker Outputs - 7.1.4
5.1 Re-Render
7.1 Re-Render
2.0 Re-Render
BIN -> to Headphones
etc.

I would 100% also ensure that your Firmware and DADman versions are both current.

best,

Jeff

I am running the latest firmware and DADman software.

The MTRX device clock is the same.

Also, if I turn the EQ on when monitoring in 7.1 or 5.1 it turns off the left channel.

Why would the EQ effect the channels?

If you'd like to share your monitor profile I can take a closer look at it.

best,

Jeff

It wouldn't let me upload the file as it says it was a n invalid file type.

So here's a link to download it.

So - this is not the same Monitor Profile you have in the screengrab you sent. Not sure if that is relevant or not.

I'm not seeing any issues engaging EQ, Delays or Bass Management including switching Sources and Outputs. This Monitor Profile does in fact have multiple Source Inputs of varying widths in addition to multiple outputs.

Here's what I would recommend:

From whatever iteration of the monitor profile you are using...

(A) Settings > Monitor Profile > Remove Unused Groups (re-save profile)

(B) Settings > Monitor Profile > Uncheck and Recheck Enable Monitor

(C) Settings > Device List > IP > Restore Defaults, reboot.

Let me know what you find.

best,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Unfortunately, this has made no difference. The problem remains the same.
