Digi., I love you

Don't worry about all these haters, babe. Nobody's perfect, but we'll make beautiful music together. You really understand my needs. I love how you look, I love how you feel, you really listen to me and remember all that I say and play. I know, your clothes may be getting out of date(001), I'll work harder to get that beautifull 002 dress for your rack. Oh, and most of all, you share me. You're not afraid of a little threesome(ReWire). True love always, Tito

For the record, Digi is a company, driven by a supply and demand economy. Capitalistic indeed.

Alittle more akin to , "hey there how much?", than a "ohh baby I love you"

"I'm single. I'm very, very single...But not really single at all. I'm married to ProTools."

24 Reasons why ProTools is better than women:

1) It won't get jealous if you get caught master fading.
2) It can hold your undivided attention for many hours at a time.
3) It doesn't expect you to pay for dinner.
4) It comes with a mute button.
5) It won't get mad if you let your friends use it.
6) It doesn't get sore if you push too many buttons.
7) It will always do anything you tell it to.
8) It doesn't mind if you adjust your disk allocation in public.
9) It likes two monitors at once.
10) Pro tools won't get creeped out if you have an "imaginary bus."
11) It will always have dither ready for you when you get home.
12) Pro tools doesn't get self-conscious about its bottom-end.
13) Pro tools doesn't mind if you fade-out after a long, hard session.
14) You won't catch any viruses from the SCSI port.
15) The more RAM the better.
16) Pro Tools doesn't compare you to past users.
17) It doesn't get tired if you do too much bouncing.
18) A newer, better version comes out every so often.
19) Pro Tools doesn't care if your clothes match.
20) Pro Tools doesn't feel the need to talk on the phone 24/7.
21) Pro Tools likes it if you buy it a nice rack.
22) Pro Tools will repeat things as many times as you want.
23) Pro Tools only makes noise if you press the spacebar.
24) It doesn't care if you have an eenie-teenie hard disk.

Re: Digi., I love you

I too love Digi. When I think back how close I came to buying a used adat, it makes me shudder. I was about to pay $700 for a 20 bit machine. And I was sure I'd be happy with 8 tracks and a Mackie mixer. But I kept thinking about how the adat motor has to be serviced after so many hours.

When I asked the guy how come he was selling it, he said cause he was going to Pro Tools. And then the light went on in my brain. If he's selling the adat to go to Pro Tools, what he hell am I doing?

About $10k later, I now understand what 'gear lust' means, and what it means to be a gear slut.

Thanks a lot Digi!
