Pro Tools ALL Groups hotkey

Hello all! This is my first post and question.

I frequently use shuffle mode in conjunction with left clicking on the <ALL> groups to create or erase space in between host questions and guest answers in a back and forth dialogue. Is there a hotkey for this left click on <ALL> groups? Without having to go to Group Keyboard Focus Mode?

Thanks!

there may be others, but 2 options that i know of are these:
  1. while in Groups Keyboard Focus Mode hit Shift + ! to toggle the "ALL" group on/off (though i gather you do not want to be in Groups Keyboard Focus Mode?)
  2. while in any Keyboard Focus Mode, make your selection not out on the Edit Window, but above it, in the timeline bar. this will select everything vertically, and thus you can do your shuffle edits across all tracks.
hope this helps.

and this is cool because it will move your markers and tempo maps too.

I use a set of memory locations to make different group presets. I use always the same mem loc numbers to aces those presets fast. So one preset could be with the all group on. then press ". Number ." and you have it. The only disadvantage might be, that this is not a toggle. You would then have to go to another "group" preset in the mem loc (i.e. a preset where all your edit groups are on).

Other Solution is go create a macro with soundflow.

Daniel
