Eleven Lite noise

I am continuing to experiment with PT12 and Eleven, having come from PT5.1.1 and an external PodPro.
The gain patches on the PodPro, into my old digi001 via S/PDIF, were "great without noise." It's sort of artificial, yes, because an amp is going make some noise at high gain, but it made for very "easy" recording.
The Eleven Lite models, however, are super noisy in comparison, even with a good humbucker. With the Strat it's nearly unplayable with all the hum and hiss. Is this the new normal to which I must become accustomed?

11lite isn't noisier than other amp sims out there, make sure to have a good amount of input signal.

Focusrite 4i4.
Incandescent bulbs only.

The low-gain guitars sound fine. A STrat going clean with some chorus sounds lovely!

Hmmm! That is a difference between my old PodPro using S/PDIF and the Inst 1 input into the Focusrite 4i4 into 11Lite. I thought everything was in the green (I am bordering on yellow on the 4i4 input signal "ring") but maybe I missed something. Thanks.
