Hey all,

I hope everyone is feeling great and inspired!

I haven't posted any new tracks here in some time.

Here are a couple...

The first is called FALLING FROM THE STARS and lives here:

http://bartlebymusic.com/fallingfromthestarspage.html

The second is called ON THIS DATE IN HISTORY and lives here:

http://bartlebymusic.com/onthisdatepage.html

Both feature a friend and great latin percussionist on a Roland Handsonic.

Toys/Tools used: Allenstein Machine (mmmm....fast), Roland XP-30 Keyboard,
Lexicon MPX-100 reverb, FMR RNC Comp, Rode NTK mic, Squire Jazz Bass
and T-Racks on the mastering end.

Thanks for listening!

:-)

So here are a few rough mixed, but loud cuts to check out. No bass or vocals yet, but soon.

So things are pretty quiet around your neighborhood lately

Take Care,
Gene

Re: X73 Test

hahaha ya, the funny thing was the neighbors to my left were selling their house that night. Granted I have this setup in a townhouse, but it works well. The cool thing is that the walls on either side have 3 foot thick firewalls all the way up. So the sound is pretty low, but loud in my house. So the other night (back to the story) the neighbors were having an OPEN HOUSE. Perfect test for the new residents right. The drummer in this band is by far the loudest I have ever had in the place. I mean you could hear him outside, so I am sure that it was next door too. Not the case, they knew that the drumming was going on, but it was not that loud. Now the guy outside though asked me when I was walking the dog " are you the drummer?" I said "No, but I run a studio out of the house at night." With a very concerned look he said simply "Every night????" That made me laugh, but ya know I am nice and stop at 9:00 to 10:00 and do not play drums after 9:00. The guitars are in a middle room and are not that loud. Enought to get the tone we need. Just thought it was funny.

This project is coming along. Having a hard time getting the POP snare and snappy kick that he wants, be we are close. Interesting though on the audio level of the MP3. MY mix was a lot louder unless it is really my speakers here at work? Sounds great at home.

Here's a couple of cuts from my band's first album. We're called 22B, and we play hard rock with kooky lyrics.

Super Duper Crackhead

Todd,
Just listened to 'Falling from the stars' and 'On this date'...both songs are good and have interesting changes.....and as always, your voice sounds great. I'm also hoping to get 'Lovers' with your fine vocals mixed very soon now.

thanks, Roy
