Sound Designer AMII Nubus anyone?
 

I've now got an Audiomedia II Nubus card in my Mac IIfx OS7.5 which seems to work just fine :-) (whereas my Audiomedia I card caused buss error :confused:)

Is there any software that makes use of the DSP on the card? I've tried to load up Sound Designer (2.0.2??) but it looks for a Sound Accelerator, can't find one and stops. But I read in here people DO use Sound Designer with a Nubus AMII card, what do I need? Is there a version of Sound Designer that works with the AMII?

AFAIK SD 2.5 and higher works with an AMII. Last version of SDII is 2.83. The DSP is good for plugins for SDII, there were/are quite several. Rare to find now, as they were quite expensive, but delivered on floppies with key authorization. Most people sold the Macs with still the keys on the hard disks (but the buyer don't need them and so they are lost) and sold the floppies or sold them later separately (without left keys so they are useless as well, as it is a question of time, when you can't use the floppy itself as a key because of degrading).
Try SD 2.7 which should be available without authorization process.

For the record, I have Audiomedia II nubus running on a quadra and have authorized 2.8 on it. If anyone needs help or could help me find a copy of 2.5 that I could authorize, that would be amazing!
