pro tools 8 instruments hang and all plugins are missing menu labels
 

Here's a weird one, I have a 2.53 GHz Duo Macbook Pro with 4 GB of RAM running 10.6.4 and Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.4 (also did this with 8.0.3) and any and all plugins menus with preset, save, bypass, auto, track, etc are not visible unless you click and the tabs where the labels would normally appears. They are not "grayed-out", there is absolutely nothing but blank tabs where you would normally see a GUI plugin options/buttons. The functionally works but the fields, "save", "bypass" etc are blank.

Now for the bad part, anytime you open a pro tools instrument after 4 or 5 seconds Pro Tools hangs and a force quit is needed to restart Pro Tools. Third party instruments work fine but DB-33 and Boom, etc crash the session every time.

I just got a brand new laptop and this is killing me. I have wiped my entire drive reinstalled OSX 10.6.4, ripped out all third-party plugs and software and only Pro Tools 8.0.3 and 8.0.4 and I get the exact same thing every time. Even went back to OSX 10.6.1, 10.6.2, 10.6.3....


anyone have this problem?
