Sound Designer II on the 001?

I'm wondering if the 001 will support SDII or if I'm going to have to use the AM3 w/PT5 LE.

I was told SDII would not support the 001, since the software is discontinued by Digi... Please prove me wrong Digi !
Remember that is such a popular program just because its simplicity (did you ever try to do some straightforward editing with PEAK....)
