OT: i got an internship!
 

Hey,

I'm pretty excited today, I went to my first day of work at laughing tiger studios. They've got some crazy cool gear(SSL 4035+ yadayada), Neve's and some great mics. Anyways, I'm answering the phones and stuff now, but my boss has already asked me if i want to help him mix stuff, so I'm pretty excited. And I guess theres gonna be some big names coming through pretty soon! Anyway, i just thought i'd share...Thanks!

Right on! Congrats to you. What did you do to get it? Did you have a reseme or portfolio?

nope!

i went in there cause my friend's band was recording, and one of the engineers was trying to work some plugin or another, and he couldnt get it, so i chimed in, and it worked.
"oh, you record?"
"yup"
"you know protools?"
"more or less"
"want an internship?"
"sure"

it was pretty good! i think they get alot of people who come in not knowing anything really, but since i know more than probably most of the other interns, they're pretty cool to me. my first assignment was to bring up the recall on the SSL board, so apparently they have faith in me. I guess i got it right though!

Man, that's really awesome. I checked out the site and was mighty impressed with the facility, mission statement and, wow, the client list.
And what a great story.
