Badperson,

I see what you mean about the lyrics - it took me a while to figure out how the flowers are a metaphor for man's relationship with God and how snacks show the duality of nature. Of course the references to the fine and ancient country of Hungary just put it over the top for me!

Seriously, it did have a nice groove - kind of a Grateful Dead thing (to me at least). At the beginning, the bass seems to be tripping over the guitar a little bit. Also, since it is the "jam" tradition, more guitar soloing would suit the song. Maybe even some soloing under the singing would free the form up a bit - not make it seem quite as repetitive. The structure of the song would support it just fine.

Keep up the good work!

badperson,
CaveatYourEruptor's right, the lyrics do take some deep contemplation to fully grasp... I like it. I like the wah guitar and the solo too...it's a fun song. Made me hungry for Cheetohs...
thanks, Roy

Thames Waves – A D&B remix, kind of light though;

And

Das Head – Who knows what genre this, I made it after seeing Photek and Goldie last week so there are a few D&B influences going on. There some samples have some bad language (nothing too bad though) so don’t listen if you’ll be offended.

Here's a few clips of my band. We tracked on 2" and dumped it into Digi 001 and I mixed it at home. Comments/critiqes/suggestions welcome. Here's the link: www.soulsgate.com/SGmusic.html

Thanks!

I got an email a few nights ago from a singer/artist (Nick Rogero) who asked if he could put a vocal on my song, 'Moonbeam Seduction'. I agreed, he sent me this, and I think he did a killer job on it. Reminds me a little of Jim Morrison.
Check it out...

Roy,

What are you using for your drums sounds on Moonbeam? Are they a kit or loops? EGAD!!! They just rip right through you. I'd love to get my sounds that ballsy.

Moonbeam sounds nothing like Light My Fire. I hear an older Perry Farrell kind of vibe.

Is this one of your tunes or a tune done by a client?

Cool.
