PT8 and Titan
Anyone using Titan with PT8?
I have been this morning and have been having problems. Use Flash Conform to create a PT session - works Open FC session in PT8 - works Import OMF into FC session - works Save Copy In to PT 5.1-5.9 session - works most of time (1 failure will give details later) Fix Sync - works Open Fix Sync session in PT8 - fails (end of scope or something like that details to follow) Anyone having success with this workflow? Re: PT8 and Titan
So after 3 cs updates this still is not working.
the Fix Sync'd file will open in 7.4.2 but not in PT8cs3. Tried to get into the new Avid support system but got error after error after error and gave up with it. Has anyone used Titan successfully with PT8? Thanks |
Re: PT8 and Titan
I am also having problems with PT 8. Every time I try to open the FC session I get an end of thread error. Ended up having to manually cut and move against the EDL. Long time....:mad:

Got an email from Synchro Arts saying they were working on it.

Re: PT8 and Titan
Good! Is Titan PT8 compatible?
|
Re: PT8 and Titan
Flash Conform certainly is but for some reason PT8 doesn't like the files that Fix Sync creates.
If I hear more I'll let you know. C |

Re: PT8 and Titan
Did you try importing the tracks from the saved 7.4.2 session into an 8 session?
|
Re: PT8 and Titan
Once the session has been opened and saved in 7.4.2 it opens on 8 without problems. Very strange indeed.

Re: PT8 and Titan
Has anyone had an issue with Fix Sync trying to locate files?
Ran the conform through Flash conform. (Fixed Files Types) Opened it in PT 7.4.2. (When I opened the session it had missing files but relinked fine when I pointed it back to the sound rolls by 'filename'. Wouldn't allow me to relink by format or ID.' Thinking this might have something to do with it.) Did a save session copy in PT 6 and ran that through Fix Sync but then it asks to locate my guide track and a whole bunch of sound files when I KNOW they are connected in my session. Never had this problem until now on two separate shows. Any insight? |
