96io not recognised by pro tools 11 anymore?
Hi
Pro tools won't let me in anymore with my 96io connected. I figured it could be a firmware issue, so attempted to update the firmware and get the following message each time.. Please see attached image Programming failed Data verification error on flash sector 9 Anyone heard of this and know how to fix? I know it's not the cables as have swapped with my other system and all works fine. Just hoping the interface isn't bricked :( Thanks Robhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d8697c0944.jpg Sent from my CPH1917 using Tapatalk |

If nothing has changed software-wise, then I suggest you clean the connectors of your DigiLink cable. If you do not have industrial alcohol available, juggling with the connector a dozen times should do it at least for a while.

If you're sure its the 96 IO that is bad, toss it out and buy a used 192. It'll be the cheapest upgrade ever:o

Re: 96io not recognised by pro tools 11 anymore?
I’m this is the third person I’ve seen with a firmware failure. All revolving around 2021.7 . I had the same result trying to update my Omni. Now it’s bricked and avid wants $1000 to rma it. Seeing that this has happened on other devices other than the Omni and it hapoened with 2021.7… I’m starting to think Avid messed up. Thoughts ?

Do you have that in writing? To my knowledge Avid is not repairing DigiDesign branded interfaces.

Whatever you do
DO NOT perform firmware updates to old blue faced hardware with modern versions of pro tools. You WILL brick them. You have been warned. l |
