Digidesign Sound Control Panel
 

I just installed PT 5.0.1 and I tried to install the new Sound Control Panel.
The installer says I need System 8.6.1 and the Sound Control Panel that came with 9.0.
I have 8.6 on my Mac but I cannot find an 8.6.1 updater anywhere. Even on the Apple site!

Where I can find 8.6.1?

8.6.1 is the "Font Update"

or move to 9.0.4

Use the Digidesign output drivers for use with 8.6.( supplied on the 5.0.1 CD )
Use the new Digidesign Sound Control Panel
for use with Mac OS 9x.

I have a 9600/300 with an XLR8 G3 upgrade, but I'm not really convinced to move to macOS 9.0x

I think the 9 is too big for my computer..
anyone with OS9 on a 9600? Is too much slow for the 9600?

I've got a 9600/300 (without the G3 upgrade) and I'm very happily running 8.6 -- it's not that I don't think that 9 would work, it's just that I don't see the need with my setup. I've got 9 on this here iMac, but that's a different story...
