Does the new 2022.4 update fix the loosing I/O setting bug
So a good while back (6 or 8 months or more )I reported a bug where on Catalina 10.15.7 with PT Ultimate 2021.12 in the Carbon Hardware window I/O settings If you closed a session and launched a new session with a different sample rate like say from 44.1 to 96 the Carbon I/O would default the settings and no sound would play And resetting the HW settings would not work because as soon as switched from the HW page back to the session it would default again .. I am just wondering if Anybody knows if this finally got fixed in this new release , before I upgrade ?????????????.
I had opened a support ticket (as suggested by Mark Corbin ) and with some back and forth screen shots and video with Avid, they were able to reproduce the issue and said they were working on it...... but I never heard back |

Check out the 2022.4 Release Notes, specifically the carbon section. There seems to be a fix for what you are talking about.

Ahhh!!! Glad it's solved at last, still on 2021.7 because of this bug. Thanks.

Re: Does the new 2022.4 update fix the loosing I/O setting bug
Have not tried it on main system (below) on Catalina 10.15.7 and Ultimate 2021.12. But I do have it set up on an external drive with Monterey OS (opening and playing a number of old sessions of mixed sample rates and so far no issues :-))
