Half speed recording
Hello,
I want to record my voice at half speed (shift+cmd+space). When my rec is done, I play back at normal speed and obtain a high pitch voice. But since version 11, the result is full of click ! I use an HDX rig with an AVID HD I/O and protools 2019, 2020 (osx 10.13.) same result. Same gear under protools 10 (osx 10.9.6) ans it's perfect. I try on my laptop with an avid interface, same bug/problem. Any clue ? Or maybe if you have time, can you record your voice at half speed and see if you have click at nomal speed ? Thx a lot and merry christmas. Bruno |
Re: Half speed recording
Yep. Happens here too,
I just did a few seconds half-speed rec, and there are a couple of obvious, "standard" digital clicks. |
Re: Half speed recording
Hello Ben,
thx for the test. Anyone else ? Avid, maybe you can fix this bug on the next release ? Easy, just find the right code in protools 10 ;-) |
Re: Half speed recording
I've halted at Pro Tools 2020.9.1 and half speed recording works as normal.
Recording at half speed results in playback pitched one octave up. Stephen |

Re: Half speed recording
You could record at regular speed and then use Elastic Audio to pitch the octave up:o
