Rack case for venue

There's a guy I work for sometimes who just picked up a used D-Show Venue system. The FOH setup came in this monstrous case that's about 5' square and over 4' tall. He wants to get the gear into cases that will be more manageable for his box truck pack. Anyone have any suggestions on where to source new cases? Thanks.

There must be a lot of case builders in US.

I'm from EU and I have designed cases for my Profile myself and let the local case builder put them together. My goal was to make the setup as small as possible, so I ended up with a Profile rig that can fit into Chrysler Grand Voyager so that 4 persons can still be in the car :)

Basic stuff, stage and FOH + Profile next to the car

See, no doghouse, cause we really don't actually need a doghouse with Profiles

But if you need to temp cover the desk this is how you can keep your cabling connected

To have the system as compact as possible I have skipped having a separate stagebox system and built the thing right into Stage rack. Shure PSM 700 transmitters get connected with one multi-pin cable to save some time at setup.

Handy case for 8 x PQ controllers and their cables. It fits a pair of Behringer small mixers too :)

Racks one more time

Voyager is a fantastic car! Actually all this fits into that car + two people. Complete band setup with Profile system, inear transmitters-receivers, PQ systems, mics, stands and all cabling.

Maybe these pics give someone a little inspiration.

Kristo,

Thanks for the reply and pics. I talked to my guy tonight and found out that he has a lead on an Olympic case for the D-Show at some kind of ridiculous price. If the case turns out to be all that he expects, he's getting a crazy deal.

Jimmy, I'm not sure I follow you.... your friend got an D-Show system and what is he now hoping to fit that into a case for SC48? These are completely different systems in size! D-Show is big, has a main controller unit + a side car plus external FOH rack to house local io and DSP, plus Stage Rack that houses mic pres and outputs. Early SC48's had all in one, like a traditional analog console. Only late SC48 remote systems come with separate stage box. Still the dimensions are all different and I would not consider racks of one to fit the other at all.

Whoops! My mistake. It's the D-Show, not the SC48.
