Configuration Question

Hey Guys

Just crossgraded to pro tools 9... two quick questions:

1) How do i configure PT9 to work with no interface? ( Macbook Pro and ilok)
2) What are the steps A-Z to change configuration once i do add an interface?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Configuration Question

1) It should be "plug-n-play"

2) Cross-grading suggests that you've used PT before. What interface did you used then? Configuration should be no different from what you did before (I think).

Re: Configuration Question

To switch interfaces, you change the playback engine. forget right now which menu it's under, but I know it's by the top of the menu... sorry that's not much help, as far as just working off the outs on the laptop, you just startup PT, and if no interface is detected it defaults to the headphone jack/speakers

If you've never used an external interface before, or have more than one, do:- Setup->Hardware, and select it. if you only have one, you only need to set it up once. After that PT will recognise it if it's there.

If your system does not have an ASIO driver you will need to get one as mentioned in this thread.

Isn't there an ASIO driver included on the DVD?

It's working for me here, and the Core Audio driver works with Logic. Thanx for reminding me to update my profile.
