importing reverbs crashes Protools

Hi
I just installed another Accel card, upgrading to a hd3 system. I mixed 2 songs and everything worked fine.
Then the 3rd song, I tried importing some reverbs from previous sessions and the session crashed. I tried 3 times and it crashes every time.

Then I tried importing the reverbs one at a time. Waves Renaissance reverb and the other Dverb crashed the session. The other verbs didn't

Anyone else experience this?

I"m using Protools HD 8.1.1 on a Mac Pro

tks

Is your WavesHell compatible with PT8?

i think so. I asked waves if the plugins were compatible with my system and they said yes. also why would dverb crash my session?

As a work around, go back to a session that uses the reverbs you want and save the settings as presets. Moving forward, instead of importing those, just instantiate fresh and recall the presets.

yes good idea. I came to that conclusion after I posted too.

Something else weird happened the other day. I had a few plugins on an overhead. out of nowhere the signal disappeared. only to return when i removed the Puigtech eq. strange

That puts you back to JFreak's question about Waves and PT8. You should be checking with Waves on which version is compatible with PT8 and your OS(which you have not mentioned yet):o You might consider moving up to PT10 if your Mac will allow.
