Thanks pk...'Jamaica Rain' was actually created in a smaller session, to be used as background for 'Lovers', which is on my site too. 'Lovers' is about to be sung(finally) by a new artist over in S.Africa, in the language of Afrikaans. I can't wait to hear it myself. Pretty cool...

It's about time for some more pk music, isn't it?

Alright, anybody interested, I got two more songs up on MP3.com

http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/431/agenda_entropy.html

i'm a "premium" artist, so you dont have to worry about popup ads and stuff on my link. The two new ones are Beneath it all, and Synthetic Mess.

I have heard a lot of good things about synthetic mess, such as: "If you added some more lead to that song, you could probably get it played on the newer jazz stations that are playing more electronic stuff." If you want to hear them, they are theree.

thanks in advance.

Hi,

check out billie'es bounce at the link below. This will NOT go down in the annals of great recordings. It's two guitar parts overdubbed. There's a 10 second or so delay at the beginning (still learning mastering) and it clips in one or two places, but overall it's not too bad. Would love any feedback.

thanks.

Hey Thanks a bunch. Yesh, with that song I was expiramenting with dropping the beat and starting the bar short; as you can probably tell. It does that a couple times throught the song. I am going to probably re-record a few things, or optimize a few things on that track.
Thanks for listening

It was suggested that I put this post on the end of this one as well, so that's what I am doing. This post has it's own thread, but I was unaware of an official "Listening Post":

I have just finished my bands new record. It is our 4th, but the first one done on my PTLE system. It was produced/engineered/mixed by myself in my home, so I know that it doesn't sound very good...but if any of you could go to the link below and listen to the two songs I just posted (the first one is 2 minutes long, the second is 3) and give me some feedback I would appreciate it. I know this is a popular post lately and everyone seems to be shying away from them, but I would love to hear some comments.

http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/350/...ickleback.html

P.S. If anyone is interested, the record comes out July 30th (Revelation Records) and if you want a copy of the two songs posted we have promotional copies I can mail you, just email me your address.

Here's a new Strat-sample induced piece. I liked the groove so much I just kept it goin, like a train. It grows on you... The solo was done in one pass, so it's more feel that perfection.

Thanks, Roy

'Train of Love'

p.s.I'm gonna listen to all these new pieces hopefully tonight. I'm anxious to hear em...

Roy,

I think you should get in the bussines for underscores for movies and documentaries. Your music is always very "visual" as in i see a lot of things happening in the "picture....".

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

roy, are you using a talkbox? i can't get my talkbox to sound like that, maybe i should mess around w/ my pedals and try to get a better sound from it that way.

btw "sleepy moon" is a great tune, so is "train" keep the great songs comin'!!!

Bastiaan,
Thank you man...what a complement. I've always wanted to do scores, but just haven't yet. We'll see what happens, though.

bi0FORCE1,
The guitar sound is a mixture of slight flange, echo, and chorus. I used a talk box on an album only once. I have one available on this Digitech guitar processor, but haven't used it yet.
Thanks about the songs.

Alright, I got to listen to a few new things...

Captain Pants,
Man, of the two, I like 'Synthetic Mess' the most. It has some cool sounds and interesting chord stucture to it...it builds really well too. Good job! Your stuff just keeps getting better all the time, IMO. Keep it coming, man...

go i huvet!!!!!

Wow! This really blew me away, I'm serious... You've, of course, been around here forever, and I don't think I ever heard any of your projects. But I am really impressed man. What a great production in all respects. Excellent work, man... Guys, check this out...

NineSpine,
Nice productions, interesting arrangements...good luck on your CD, man!

Great creative work, and thanks each one of you for letting us check it out... ~Roy

dw drummer,
If you're only 15, you are a really good drummer. Good stuff here, too. Just keep at it, man. Hope you do great things...

Double Edge,
HipHop's not my forte, but I must say you guys do it well. 'Here in Da South' is tuff...good production quality, and the lyric has real substance. MP3.com wouldn't let me hear 'u n my hood', probably because I have some kind of Content setting clicked on.
Anyway man, you guys are excellent at what you do... so keep it up, and I wish you all the best.

Alright, for all interested, I have another song online at MP3.com. The site is:

http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/431/agenda_entropy.html

The song is called black. I will admit the song is a bit long, 6 minutes. And its heavily synth involved, with a bit of electric guitar. Check it out if you want. Oh yeah, this song sounds REAL good on a nice stereo with the volumes cranked. Headphones WILL not do the song justice!!!
Thanks.

I've uploaded two files to the same directory I listed above. Both were performed by my step-daughter's band "All She Wrote". The songs are called "Liar" and "Greed". I'd be interested in any comments and opinions.

Thanks for listening, and for allowing me to play "proud papa".

I made a new webpage since I last posted in here. I can't take credit for the layout.. but I can take credit/criticism on the jam mixes.

Some are pretty old, when my skills weren't that great. Funny how my gear hasn't changed at all but the quality has.

The Jammimals

The latest song I put up is called "stereo static" and is probably one of the better recordings.

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

ok, here's a couple of new tracks, "number 3" is still being worked on heavily but the idea is there. The other one called 'Lamaragga' is a Tibetan chant driven 'dance/house' type of ditty, something I normally don't produce. This is a new side project collaborating with a friend. They won't all be this dancey, but once in a while well, why not....

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

has anybody tried doing a recording project w/ other people over the web?

like, have one person record drums and post it then have other people add guitars and bass to it and see what happens. we could make a band in the duc!!!

its just a thought, i dont know if it would actually work or not but it sounds like fun.

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

well, unintentionally, I did a "dancy" remake of one of roy's songs. Im sure if two people we're planning on doing a song together it could be done, want to try?
What kind of music do you listen to?

bi0force1 07-08-2002 05:46 PM

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

i listen to rock (aerosmith, beatles, gnr, smashing pumpkins,ect....) but i'll play guitar over anything.

all we need to get started is a drumbeat and a little bit of time to come up w/ an idea. i think it would be cool to make a song or two on here using people from all over the country.

or the world for that matter.

so whos gonna start us off w/ some drums?

Captain_Pants 07-08-2002 06:35 PM

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

all right, well, im in for all things electronic, electric percussion. I guess the best thing to do would be to start us off with some drums, then post a link to them, and whoever is it, can download them to thier individual computers and import them into thier songs. if that makes sense?!?

bi0force1 07-08-2002 07:14 PM

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

that makes sense, this should be awesome....or at least funny

ok, Big red, your on drums, you need to come up with a beat. With respect to Roy, lets change this to a new topic, so we can leave his original topic alone.

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Okay, this is the first thing I've posted to my site since it just went up yesterday. That said, this is insanely vulgar. The guy I recorded thinks he's Eminem. The song is really absurd but I like what they did with the bassline. They ran a guitar signal through a little boss octave pedal.

I'd be interested in what you all think of the vocal. I ran it through a sans-amp.

The link may be hard to see but it's under the picture of my friend David. Sorry, my HTML skills are not what they once were.

pk,
Finally got to listen and as usual, very nice work. 'Lamaragga' is my favorite of the two, but both show the usual pk finess and style. Your stuff is always interesting and a pleasure to check out.

Thanks, Roy

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

Why, thank you Roy, you're too kind.

It's a strange thing putting a house track together when it's not usually 'your thang', but
just tapping into a different genre can teach you so much about things you could apply to your own style, like arrangements, dynamics, layering sounds, etc.

I guess all I'm saying is it's fun to try something different once in a while, although I'm still not a big fan of house music, even after producing "Lamaragga".
