Not yet, they actually played their first show a few weeks ago. Very cool vibe they have going on....

The new 'SmallMammalHouse' sounds great...big improvement on an already good mix...it's actually a kickass song too. The 'slight distortion' you used on the vocal makes it kill...what did you use?

Hey buddy! Thanks for the comments. I used the RVOX for the vocal compressor, then added at the last minute ANTARES TUBE in DEVIL mode. Just a smidge..... They really liked it. and I am happy...

sounds great in the car. Probably one of my better, cleaner and tighter mixes thus far.

I've got it for you...only problem is the server is down while we're remodeling the studio....I'll probably have it for you early next week (the fastest remodeling job in the history of recording studios!!!).

Cheers to all...I'm not sure anyone else has noticed, but the average quality of mixes and recordings over the past year or so has steadily increased over the course of this thread. Congrats to everyone for churning out some stellar music!

Here's one my son and a friend of his did in protools, but never finished (both are teenagers). It's an Industrial tune....heavy! When he played it for me I told it was pretty cool and that they should try to complete it. Needs some cleaning up though. Let me know what you think!

It's not finished yet but it's beginning to take form now. Reason has some very nice electronic synth sounds. Happy me yesterday got PTLE 6.4 so goodbye Cubase and hello Rewire.

Cheers I'm fine, have been a night working with my new upgrade together with Reason and I'm very enthousiastic about the sounds and possibilities. Some nice demo plugins, that smells like spending cash. Hoping to get the VST/RTAS adapter by the end of the year or so.

It was one of the most enjoyable things I have done lately. Funny you mentioned old school, since I was going to their home to record the piano, I did not want to haul around my computer, monitor 002 etc... and completely dominate their house, so I just brought along my old TASCAM 424 mk II and tracked it to tape. I then brought it into LE when I got home. This was a really FUN project !

for two teenagerboys they make it sound pretty mature. Not completely my style but well done. I'd picture two persons in their late twenties to make music like this. Nice work from the kids.

Hey man! Cool tune! Dig it! Sounds like a Ministry tune, which I have listened to for years... Actually went to Tower Records the other day and picked up $150 bucks in music. Turned out getting the new Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Last FILTER album and a few others. Went on the Indutrial Expose on this buy. Their sound is very Ministry like! Very cool!

They did come up with some cool stuff! My son and his friend recorded 5 tunes...none of them got completed though. They've since parted and started doing their own things, but still keep in touch. The singer is going off to art school. My son started a new band. As a matter of fact I'm going to see my sons new band 'Under the Same Sun' tomorrow night at The Somewhere Else Tavern in Greensboro with, 'The Academy', 'Etheric' and 'Epsilon Zero'. It's gonna be a great show! I'll give him your feedback! He'll surely be grateful!

'Under the Same Sun' will record their first CD at my studio in September. I'll post a sample of it at that time.
