RESOVLED: Random playback drops in 2022.10
RESOLVED
Hi there. Since I've upgraded to PT Studio 2022.10, I've been experiencing brief playback drops on random tracks at random points in the project. They occur at different times whenever the track is played. It's like there's an invisible "mute" toggling in and out at random points. The waveforms do not change, but the meter on the affected tracks go down when the drops occur - again as if they are muted for a brief moment. It happens whether or not I disable all the plug-ins or disable automation. When I render/freeze the track, the drop-outs are reflected on the rendered waveforms (but if I unfreeze and then re-freeze it, there will be drop-outs at different random points on the track). Doesn't matter if there are plug-ins or automation. It only occurs on certain audio tracks in any given project. It can be on a couple of vocal tracks on one project, and a guitar track on another. I've also made tweaks in the Playback Engine preferences to see if it goes away, but doesn't seem to change anything. Any thoughts? PT Studio 2022.10 Mac Studio (2022) Mac OS Monterrey 12.6 M1 Max 32G RAM Thanks! |
Re: Random playback drops in 2022.10
Plug-in needs licensing / re-licensing ?

Re: Random playback drops in 2022.10
Thanks, but checked for that. Issue occurs whether or not there are plug-ins.

Re: Random playback drops in 2022.10
Seems like you might have random Mute or Volume automation happening on the track. Or like Dominic suggested, you’re using a trial license on a plug-in that randomly mutes the output in the signal chain

Bingo!
I thought I had troubleshot for that when I bypassed all plug-ins. But even when bypassed the demo plug-in still muted the track. Thanks! RESOLVED. |
