would you pay for an 11 rack driver?
would you pay for an 11 rack driver?
I wonder how hard it would be for avid to make drivers for the 11 rack to work with the Mac M1s or newer windows machines? Id pay for it, how about you> |
Re: would you pay for an 11 rack driver?
Somehow I remember the same question when Pro Control and DigiDesign branded C24 went out of support...

They don't have anything like the 11 rack currently. |

I don't use 11R as an interface. I use it as a guitar signal processor, so the drivers are far less important to me. 11R editor still works fine, and still launches within Pro Tools 2020.12 without issue. I think it is a fantastic device, especially for the price, but most folks that I know that use them are doing the same, using it as a guitar signal processor and not an interface. |

I know, I have one also. Only used on stage, never as interface

I have other interfaces, I'd just like to be able to use the 11 rack with my M1 mac. Peace |
Re: would you pay for an 11 rack driver?
Maybe if people ask Neyrinck they'd be willing to write one as almost a kickstarter funded project; given they already knew how to work with the other Digi controllers, they could be seen as more of a trusted source by Avid...

Re: would you pay for an 11 rack driver?
Although you would have to buy another interface, I think it would be easier to just use the 11R with another interface via SPDIF. If I remember correctly, the track settings were still passed back/forth with PT over SPDIF, so you aren't really loosing much by running it this way.

Re: would you pay for an 11 rack driver?
And let’s not forget Neyrinck app only fixed the most basic on the Control24 and almost nothing except faders on the Pro Control so imagine a 11R with 10-15% of the functions ... No thanks!
